Documentary Wedding Photographer

…so what does that mean? What is a ‘documentary wedding photographer’ and how will it make your wedding images unique?

Well, of course very wedding is unique determined by the two of you  tying the knot and saying I do. You will love your dress, you will ooh and aah at your flowers, cry when you see you beloved husband to be waiting for you at the end of the aisle, smile like never before  (until your cheeks hurt) and the day will fly by at lightening speed – before you know it you will be dancing the night away.

Being a documentary wedding photographer, or photjournalist, I will capture all the emotions and details of your wedding in real time. Your memories will be authentic and full of natural elegance. There is also the opportunity to create some flattering portraits of the two of you taken with ease and in natural and relaxed settings. An ideal combination!

When your wedding day is over and you are back to everyday life as a married couple the moments and memories will become even more special. Your wedding album marks the beginning of your life together as man and wife, the visual narrative replaying your day and transporting you back to the sights, sounds and smells of your wedding day. That’s what your wedding photography should do – every time you look at it.

Don’t compromise on your memories. Invest in them.

If you would like to discuss your wedding photography please use the contact tab above to send me a message. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Wedding at Hassop Hall

I love that my work as a wedding photographer takes me to such beautiful parts of the country such as this autumnal wedding at Hassop Hall. Weddings in the Autumn and Winter are always so cosy, epecially when there are lots of candles and tealights – perfect for adding romance and warmth.

This particular wedding at Hassop Hall was no exception with such attention to details with the arium lilies or calla lilies as they are also know, carried through to the iced cake decorations. Very pretty indeed.

Hassop Hall Hotel is located in the picturesque village of Hassop, near Bakewell, close to all the attractions of the Peak District and one of friendliest wedding venues.

Set in beautiful gardens and rolling parkland, the hotel offers you a perfect country setting for your wedding celebration offered in this family run establishment.

Sisters

Sometimes all the elements of a photography session pull together to create something special.

Recently I spent some time with a lovely family who have three beautiful daughters, both inside and out.

Blessed with the most glorious light and the use of a location unique to Jensen Photography I was able to create some lasting images of quiet moments individually as well as showing sibling love.

This is the feedback from the girls’ Mum:

“Jill,
I would phone you to tell you how much the slideshow meant to me, however I’m far too emotional ! You really have created the most beautiful gallery of pictures and the song you chose was perfect – in fact it was certainly a contributor to my tears
A big and very much heart felt thank you from Sid and I.
Emma x”
That says it all really doesn’t it?
I hope you like the images…

Amanda + Steve’s pre-wed shoot | Arley Hall Wedding Photographer

Arley Hall Wedding Photographer   Perfect weather (in October!)  for this  pre-wedding shoot…this time with Amanda & Steve who have booked me to be their wedding photographer at Arley Hall,Cheshire  in June 2012. All of the these images where taken at an exclusive private house which I am very lucky to be able to use from time to time. As you can see it has the most amazing architecture. Of course it was the lovely couple excited about their forthcoming wedding which makes the pictures special, and a sprinkle of golden light. Perfect.
